Big Clash is a major event amongst University Students and this year was a special year for Coventry as after two seasons our Students were allowed to compete.
Starting with a warm up video where they “bantared” each other throwing harmless insults Coventry was sure to have the win in the bag.
On the night of the show anticipation gathered for how the game show will end, what jokes will be made and who will mess up in the bid to win the 2015 Big Clash Title.
I had the chance to interview some of the guests as they came in and many had the following statements
” excited and anxious”
“Ready to win this C O V ”
” The most anticipated and banter filled”
With that in mind, seats were taken and the show began with the entrance performance. DMU had a very different entrance to Coventry’s re used Banter Video type entrance which got most of the Coventrys supporters hyped up.
Each game was close, that no one knew who was winning. Everyone at the edge of their seat when ‘Dance like me’ was the next game which everyone was excited for. From that moment it seemed the game was changed from DMU’s performance and Coventry’s win hung on a thin line.
After a couple more games it was near the end of the show and it seemed as if the night went quickly.
With the announcement that DMU had won it seemed they had been robbed and even the presenters felt that both teams were as strong and so Coventry went away with their position left in the balance.
” I think we did very well and felt we won more games than we did but the decision is up to the judges, we had fun and did our best” – Kofi- Team leader of Coventry Team.
